Who We Are

We’re Pip and Gurd, and together we make up Lockdown Dhaba. We love Indian food (particularly North Indian) and set-up Lockdown Dhaba so we could share our food with you.

We’ve eaten our way around India more than a few times and combine our experience of the country, family history and recipes we’ve picked up over the years to develop our menus. In our 20’s we would cook for friends and spend our free time experimenting, trying to recreate dishes we had had while travelling or from family tales.

During Lockdown in 2020, we decided to seize the moment and share our food – and Lockdown Dhaba was born!
